With 2009 already underway, the boys of Soap have been busily adding 20 carefully-chosen dance tunes for the new year. <0x2028> We’ve just added two by old-school New Orleans funk band, The Meters; A-Punk by Vampire Weekend; and Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.

Soap rocked my party! Last year, Soap set the tone for the biggest and best pot luck party Savannah has ever seen. They played during the cocktail hour of Chatham Savannah Citizen Advocacy and got people out dancing in daylight with no more than one glass of wine. That’s a feat. I hope we can get them again this year at Savannah Station!

Soap rocked my New Year’s Eve party for sure! I can’t tell you how many times people have approached me on the streets and in bars just to congratulate me on having one of the best house parties this town has seen in quite some time. People up and down Broughton Street heard Soap rockin’ our New Year’s party!
Soap was absolutely crucial to my party’s success. No better example is the feedback I got from my girlfriend’s parents who were on the dancefloor all night long. They said that they were only intending to come in for a 15-minute courtesy “hello”, but because the music was so good, they stayed several hours just to dance!
Thank you Soap. You guys kick ass!

Not only did Soap rock Jim Johnston’s New Year’s Eve party, but they also rocked the November 2008 GreenDrinks at Blowin’ Smoke BBQ! It added a new vibe to the monthly event. They also rocked the oyster roast fundraiser for Dancing with the Savannah Stars and the Coastal Pet Rescue event at Pizza Rustica in the fall. They guys in Soap are down to earth and relate to the crowd. You can count on a really good time wherever soap is playing!

Soap was THE highlight of Greenfest 08′ They rocked out for a great cause, their energy and good vibes were contagious making everyone carefree and wanting more! Soap took things to another level, thanks guys for contributing your great vibes and commitment to our blue ball!
